With an extensive winter full of short days and long nights, the Nordics are forced to replace the lack of natural light with artificial light. Therefore, in northern Europe they are experts in creating indoor environments thanks to lamps that create comfortable and well-directed lighting, as is the case with the latest design of Norwegian firm Northern, and his spectacular Gear series.
This series of luminaires has a strong industrial character and above all, an oversized size which makes it impossible for luminaries to go unnoticed.
The Gear series it consists of a spectacular floor lamp and two models of table lamps, one with double arm and one with only one arm.
Each lamp is designed with a rotating gear inside the base that is fixed in place with each adjustment of the light. The gears are adjusted manually, as if it were an industrial or artisan type piece.
The foot lamp it dramatically extends forward to cast the shadow above while table lamps They can be adjusted to illuminate the different areas around them.
The three versions are manufactured in aluminum and steel in matt black. His strong personality is determined by his strong lines and the aerodynamic shapes that give him a sculptural aspect able to fill any corner where they are located.
