Sometimes it is hard to find new places to eat that really surprise you with their decoration. The industrial style has invaded everything with a series of details that are beginning to repeat too much and I love to see an establishment that dares to break the rules. Located in the heart of Madrid is Défilé café, a space where fashion and gastronomy come together.
Défilé coffee catches from the first moment, wraps with its attractive decoration, with a creative menu full of colors, flavors and smells carefully mixed to achieve a delicious and original result, with a select proposal of wines and, above all, with an environment that invites you to enjoy fashion and of life itself.
The idea came from Ksenia Ryzhkova, of Russian origin with Master's degrees in communication and management of fashion companies, and Javier Fernandez, a fashion accessories designer who, thanks to his many trips abroad, is also a great connoisseur of international cuisine and a lover of Asian cuisine. In addition to being a creative person, together with Ksenia they are great adventurers and one day they decided to set up their own restaurant.
The concept of the place is to combine fashion and gastronomy in the same space and the decoration reflects this pairing: mannequins, hangers which show the wine catalog in a very original way, lamps made with 20s hats or suitcases old and handbags They decorate the walls.
The idea has been to design a modern and creative space that combines different styles, from a nineteenth century French glass lamp that belonged to the Ritz hotel in Madrid, railway objects, quotes from famous people, industrial elements. There is a perfect balance of asymmetry with harmony that invites time travel and in turn enjoy the moment now.
DéFiLé Café is a restaurant with fusion and market cuisine with a French-style touch, where there are typical Spanish dishes such as Iberian carrillera, delicatessen such as giant mussels from the pickled Galician estuaries or modern cuisine such as quinoa burgers and couscous croquettes. A kitchen for all tastes With a high raw material quality that emphasizes the market product.
I already have it listed on my list of essentials to go to visit on my next trip to Madrid, if you also want to try, write down the schedule! The place is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. and on Saturdays from 11: 00h to 2: 00h. The average price per person is about 30 euros.
